#1. Orient Express

I can't believe that of the 101 tasks, this one didn't make it. It was my first list item and one I desperately want to do. Sadly, just last year, the train stopped technically being called the Orient Express (it used to be listed as such in the timetable) but the route is still there and I'll keep trying to do it.

I still like this task, I just never thought of anything I particularly wanted to write about. I do have one idea now, so maybe I'll give it a go in the next 101.

I WILL do this. I swear I will. It's going on the List 2.0. I did play a bit of scrabble over the last 1001 days, but clearly not enough.

Looking back at this has prompted me to sign up to the Internet Scrabble Club, where I am currently getting absolutely whipped by minimoodle 182-80. I like to think I have a reasonable vocabulary and haven't heard of any of her (surely not a he) first 4 words. My family has always eschewed "official" scrabble dictionaries in favour of common use words. You can't use it if you can't use it in a sentence. And no obscure 2-letter words - it becomes a different, and much more boring, game if it's all about memorising those.

Game Over. I lose 346-264. Longest word = WINDY. Not as shameful as it started out, but not good. The interface actually isn't bad. I could do a game or two a week I think...

#26 (new) Play Poker

Status: Fail

I don't like not being good at things. And I'm not good at poker. By definition really, seeing as I've never played. There were a few occasions in the year or two this was on the list that I could have achieved it. But I would have sucked. In front of people.

I do still think this is one of those skills that a modern accomplished young lady should possess. So perhaps it goes to List 2.0.
