Had a fabulous afternoon at the MoMA today. Am now a member of both the MoMA and the Met, which should help with achieving the gallery visits. Between the visits and the painting ID on freerice, I should pick up a little art knowledge. Think I'll allow myself a one-week backdate to include my two visits to the Met last week.

7 - Art Gallery of NSW - 23 Apr - checked out the annual Archibald Prize portrait competition and voted for the "People's Choice" award.
8 - Gallery on Crown - Friday night art showing - bit dark...
9 - Frick Collection - great little museum on the Upper East Side. A Monet, a Degas, a few Constables, a few Turners, some Whistlers.
10 - Met - 9 Jul 09 - Young Members Party
11 - MoMA - No waterlillies! But cool installation.
12 - Tenement Museum - Great local museum. Now members - will be back.
13 - American Museum of Natural History - too many under-8s, but some cool exhibits
14 - Museum of the City of New York - 14 Aug 09 - was excited to see the Mannahatta/Manhattan exhibit, but it was a little disappointing
