It's been a quiet week - still ramping up from the holidays. The whole Australian finance world kind of shuts down for most of January. Which is fine. Leaves lots of time for shopping. Someone recommended these to me at work and I've been meaning to buy them for a while. Not hugely expensive, good sounds, don't hurt my ears and stay on when I'm running - perfect.

OMG! I can't believe I did it! And I can't believe I'm excited about it... It was much harder than I'd anticipated. Rules around .com.au are actually pretty strict. I've had to set myself up as a business, a sole trader, and get registered on the Australian Business Register with an ABN, in order to get access to the domain name. It was a productive way to spend a few hours waiting for lawyers to get back to me but wow I feel like a geek.

Probably have zero chance of getting uploaded at this time of year with everyone's new year's resolutions, but I'll keep an eye out. Have become a bit of a Monday morning postsecret addict recently.

#65. Meet a neighbour

Thomas lives at number 40, right next door. We met out of a small urgent situation involving a cat. I don't like cats. I'd seen the Cat in the backyard of #40 and then it managed to somehow get inside my house through the front security door. So I screamed. So it ran upstairs. And under my bed. I was not impressed. Went next door to ask #40 to come and collect Cat, but turns out it wasn't their's - it belonged to the guy behind me. Trooped out the back to talk to the guy behind me over the fence but nobody was home. #40 heard me out in the backyard and asked if I had any luck. And then offered to come over and help. Yay :) So, Thomas on one side of the bed, me on the other - he captured Cat and took him outside. After commenting on how much crap I had stored under my bed - how embarrassing!

Can't believe my camera battery was flat! Ah well. Think fun was had by all: Me, James, Damien, Alex and Sarah. James - excellent barman and potato washing skills. Roast pork and veggies, mudcake and lots of wine...
